Lithic
Since the first arrivals to the Andean territory, more than 12000 years ago until the Inca Empire expansion, the lithic artifacts occupied a relevant place in different economic and rituals labors. Although from the first millennium BC metal artifacts were produced, these were mainly for the manufacture of prestige objects. They did not displace the stone artifacts like tools and embellishments. The museum collection is composed by porras, projectile points y artifacts for the milling (batans and hand griding).
