The textile art was one of the most important art expressions that was developed in the Central Andes for more than 5000 thousand years. It reached a high development between the years 1100 and 1400 after Christ.

In the central coast, the Chancay Culture is recognized for its great quality of its textiles. It is exposed in the different techniques developed thanks to the great skills from their artisans.
