Site Museum Board and Cultural Activities from Ancon
After a permanent and persistent work the Ancon Site Museum and the Archaeologist’s Square was opened on 13 February 1992. It was in tribute to the many researchers who have had the opportunity to dig in Las Colinas from Ancon.
The Board of Trustees of the Site Museum and Cultural Activities Ancon, an institution with 42 years of work and the site museum with 17 years, has as a main goal to create awareness and to educate the community about the importance and relevance of archeology and archeological heritage at Ancon. To achieve these objectives, the museum has a magnificent gallery with permanent and temporary exhibitions. These are mechanisms for sharing knowledge, imparting values and strengthening national identity. Likewise it provides lectures, guided service, and cultural videos to schools groups, universities and general public, getting the museum closer to the community.
